FEP Sports

Update 17 May 10:Well it's been a while, so here is a quick update. I am sad to say FEP and FEP Sports are dead. After many discussions, and a lot of reflection, YDNA and I have stepped out on our own. We were wanting to move things along faster then they were going, so we took a lot of the work into our own hands. We will have Quest 4B bolt kits available by June/July. We will have our new GnB Barrel kits also available by June/July, and our new gun will be on show at PB Extravaganva in September in Anaheim, CA. How's the for short and sweet? When I get more time I"ll do a proper update to my page, but for now this is all ya get!

Update 2 Aug 09: Ok so I figured it was time for an update, since things have progressed since my last little blurb. First Endeavor Paintball as it was before, is not more. The company is now called FEP Sports, and and been reincorporated with new the ownership and key players in place. We have put up a temporary web site at FEPSports.Com until the official launch. We're going to have guns. Soon. But becausing of some deals we are working on, our official world wide (yes, world wide as in North and South America, Europe, and in the Asia-Pacific area) may not be until 2010. Yes, 2010...

When I did the time lines on the dates we were comittied to, and the time it's going to take to get our products not only made, but to the places they need to be for people to buy them, my heart sank. I didn't know it took 2 months to have the special electronics made in we need. Yes 2 months. Slow boats aren't called Slow boats for nothing. And don't even get me started on exchange rates with Euros and that Canadian play money stuff. Who would have known it could be 2 months before our guns get released from customs in other countries. How about Germany and that special stamp you need before you can even ship them over to wait in customs?

It may be the case we have some unofficla pre-release markers available in the US before our offical launch, but I can't say. It depends on contracts and business agreements and blah, blah, blah. You get the idea right? It's one thing to make a gun, it's another thing all together to get it to the places it needs to get to and all the problems associated with doing it.

20 Apr 09: Obviously I'm working on the relaunch of First Endeavor Paintball. A lot of it I can't talk about, as I'm sure you'll understand. With the bad economic climate and how some paintball companies act, you have to do what you can to protect your ideas. Know what I mean?

Yes, FEP will be coming out with a new gun. It's based off the original Quest bolt system, which proved to be a very simple and extremely reliable Spool Valve. We've made major improvements to it, and we're filing for new patents on the improvements, and for the new ideas we're putting into this gun. It's going to be a high end gun with all the technology and cutting edge electronics we can pack into it. We listened for over a year to Quest owners and between them and the FEP gang, it's going to be everything you, and we, want.

It's sad, but we know not everyone lives here in California with our perfect weather, and we want you to be able to set up your gun to work best where you live: to your climate, to your altitude, and of course to your playing style. Everything from fine tuning the Solenoid and LPR to work in perfect harmony with our new manifold, to being able to set up your board with a USB cable hooked up to your PC. You'll be able to set and tweak everything to your personal liking.

Here are a few pics I've been Ok'ed to release. The actual name of the new gun isn't decided on yet and these are not the finished products, just some teasers. Haha, sorry! :-)

If you're a fanatic and just can't wait on the latest and greatest news from FEP, check out the new fan box over to the right there. You can follow us as a fan on Facebook now, and we actually update it fairly often. There are more pics and you can moan and groan about how bad you want our new gun along with other crazy ass FEP fans. lol!

And for now this is our "unofficial" site until we get our actual domain back up and running. Dave lost the account information and we're jumping through the hoops to get firstendeavorpaintball.com back up. Until then you can hang out here and on FB for info.

I also hear a lot of people moan about how slow things are going: "How hard is it to mill a body?", "How long does it take to make a manual?", etc. Right now NO ONE at FEP is getting paid. Let me rephrase that and say it like this, we are all working on this relaunch FOR FREE, in our spare time. We all work normal jobs (some of us work 2 or 3 jobs), while trying to get FEP back up and running. We do it all, from the basic designs, to working with vendors, to getting a shop set up, getting distributors, packaging, licensing, financing, testing - well you get the idea, it's a lot of work when you're not getting paid for it. It's a labor of love, and we're coming back as the true underdogs of the paintball world pulling ourselves back up by our boot straps!
